The train is a wonderful place to stay in. Surprisingly big, with seating area, small kitchen, a bath tube (!) and - of course - a comfortable bed. Kym is a wonderful and helpful host. We needed an additional night and she offered us the Karusel, a new place which is not a 100% finished. Of course, she informed us about this fact. Nothing to complain about.

A lovely peaceful little courtyard，The interior design was very clever and full of New Zealand character. It felt like the host is someone who truly enjoys life and has great taste. I hope I’ll have the chance to stay again.

From the moment we arrived Nathan and Liz were amazing hosts with great local knowledge, we loved staying here. Kitchen facilities, Breakfast selection was great to! Due to location we were able to walk everywhere around town which was fabulous. Rooms had everything we needed and clean, plus comfy beds.

This is a special place with so much history. It was the warmest welcome we received in New Zealand from our excellent hosts. This is an ideal place to stay for joining a boat trip to Doubtful Sound (5 minutes walk away) or a short drive to Te Anau.
