We absolutely loved this place. It was the best stay during our entire time in Taiwan. It was quiet, the beds were comfortable, the sleep was really good, and the views were nice. The host was very kind; he picked us up and drove us back to the city and also to dinner place he reccomended. There was also the possibility to buy tea from him. Additionally, the Cloud Trail starts just a 5-minute walk from the hotel, which was amazing. Highly recommend this place! Would stay again 100%

Veeery cosy bed and a wonderful view from the balcony. For 200NTD each way the owner picked me up at Fenqihu and brought me back after check out which was very convenient as I had too much luggage to walk to the hotel. Communication via this website was fast and easy. Breakfast was included and delicious and the hotel could cater for my vegetarian diet.

SunRise 23.5N B&B is located a 10-minute drive from Fenqi Lake, 15-minute drive from Dadongshan and 50-minute drive from Alishan. It features a sun terrace.

This is an excellent place to stay in the Alishan area. The hosts are incredibly welcoming and were happy to pick us up from Shizhuo bus stop and also to take us down to the village for dinner. The rooms are a good size with a seating area outside to relax. There is a beautiful garden with a view of the tea plantations and village below. There is a sunset viewing platform one minute's walk from the guest house, from where you can see the 'sea of clouds' below. Also less than five minutes walk above the guest house is the beginning of the Mist Trail, which is part of 5 inter-connected short walks around the area - all of which have stunning views. I've also stayed in Fenqihu and visited Alishan Forest Recreation Area, and although both are beautiful, I would stay in Shizhuo and Chang Qing Ju again every time.

This place is so cool. It's a working tea farm, so you can go up to the roof and get to the tea fields out back. We could see workers in the tea fields and then had a tea tasting with the owner. Everyone was so friendly. Breakfast was also amazing, they order it in from a local restaurant.

Highly recommended for kids or youth to experience kampong like style of stay here if travelling to Alishan. It’s well maintained and really clean. The owner will personally prepare delectable breakfast according to our time preference so as to ensure freshness of food.

We booked the family room with 4 separated double beds, the room is more spacious than expected and we can smell the wood once arrived. The weather was very bad with heavy rain everyday during our trip, so we can only stay at the place most of the time. We enjoy the tranquil atmosphere very much, giving ourselves an unexpected relaxation and deep rest during the days. The breakfast was great which I remember the vegetables are very delicious :p The cats there are so cuteeeee!! Great location with 3 mins walk to enjoy the sunrises (though we didn’t have the chance to enjoy the sunrise due to the bad weather). It’s next to hotel indigo so it’s easy to find and there is a 7-11 right at the main road.

This accommodation far exceeded our expectations. Firstly, it was my first time to Alishan and I had many queries which the host was very responsive to answer all of them. She was very kind to help my family to arrange transport to pick us up from Chiayi HSR and got the driver to tour us around Alishan. Secondly, the views from the room were incredible. Thirdly, we enjoyed our showers daily due to the high water pressure. To add on, the beds provided in both rooms were very comfortable. Lastly, the common area was very clean and great place for us to have our take-out meals. My family and I enjoyed our stay here and we will definitely stay at this very same place in the future.
