What a gem of accommodation we came across. Situated in the quaint town of Prince Albert. Tracey was fabulous in organising dinner for us and was so helpful and knowledgeable. Accommodation was just lovely and who else offers 4 swimming/splash pools. Breakfast was first class set menu/with egg choices. I have no hesitation in recommending this property

Travelers Rest in Prince Albert exceeded our expectations. The room provided all the essentials, including a kettle and a private bathroom, and was impeccably clean. Despite a temporary power outage due to a storm, the owners ensured our comfort throughout our stay, which we thoroughly enjoyed. They were exceptionally helpful and kind, offering valuable tips to explore the area. The town exuded positivity, and the room's booklet listed numerous activities to enjoy locally and in the surrounding area. Following their suggestion, we savored the stars from the shared deck atop the accommodation, surrounded by stunning natural beauty.

We had a wonderfull stay , from the warm welcome to the time where we left. The room are very confortable with lot of space , very confortable huge bed and nice decoration. We are a family with 2 kids and they had a nice separate bed room with there own bath room and terace. The breakfast was incredible served in a green house our in the garden , a nice way to start our days. The owners gave us lot advices for things to do around Prince Albert and great restaurants to eat. Thank you very much to all the team for those 3 perfect days.

The kindness of the host who allowed us to do an early check-in and assisted us with the booking of the restaurant for dinner. The room is very cozy and has the entrance from the internal courtyard where you can find the pool. Cherry on the cake is the breakfast! Superb!

we liked everything! A very lovely guest house and lovely lady owner. beautiful garden with a small swimming pool. everything is very beautifully decorated. The room was comfortable. staying in this guest house is an experience by itself. we felt like we are Alice in Wonderland.

Jill was a wonderful host - she has created a very special oasis for her guests. We loved the cozy cottage which she has decorated with care. The rooms are cozy and there is air conditioning. The kitchen is well equipped so we could prepare our own meals. There is a braai too (but we didn't have time to use it). She left fresh milk from the dairy in the fridge for us . She also brought us delicious home made muffins! The pool was a welcome relief on those super hot days. The property is peaceful and far enough from town to be quiet, but also close enough that we could walk to the excellent shops and restaurants in about 15 minutes. I would highly recommend staying at this lovely tranquil place. I just wish we'd had more time here. Thanks for everything, Jill!

We were in the back cottage which is beautifully set in a tranquil spot yet well located so you can walk around in town and don’t need to drive. Lovely hostess and the aircon was most welcome.

The cottage was lovely and very clean. The bed was really comfy. It was our best sleep of our trip! Riaan was very friendly and helpful! The dogs were so sweet and cute! Prince Albert is a lovely place to stay and we would definitely come back to the Olive Thrush Cottage when we come back to South-Africa.
