It's situated at walking distance to Mirissa fishing harbor where whale watching tours start and also less than 1.5 km from the secret beach and <1km from Mirissa town. The rooms are comfy, well maintained and come with all the amenities. The staff is very friendly and courteous and provides excellent service. And flexibility at arrangements is also noteworthy. And all of this comes at a very fair asking price. If you're visiting Mirissa area this is the easiest to recommend. But you may have to make reservations in advance. At the bed and breakfast, each unit comes with bed linen and towels. The room was super clean and cozy. I liked the location as it’s 5 min walk from the beach. There was everything you need inside the room, spray from mosquitoes, universal travel adapter, water, clean 2big towels, 2 small towels, AC was working well. It’s pretty new place I think and it’s very cozy. Thank you guys, staff were helpful and friendly.

The aesthetics are beautiful, the room was squeaky clean, the bed comfortable, electrical sockets with direct USB connectors were given in plenty and in all the right places, the bed headboard even had light switches to access while in bed, the bathroom was one of the biggest I've encountered at a hotel and had the most exquisite designs I've seen. 2-4 minute walk to the beach and plenty of amazing restaurants nearby. But the best part was the staff and owner. They are beyond helpful and ensured at every point that our needs were met.

This villa is in an excellent location within a quiet and friendly neighborhood. It is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all essential facilities, including a kitchen and ample dining space, ensuring a comfortable stay. The owner is responsive to messages sent through the booking portal. A quality breakfast is provided by Nisha, who serves it with warmth and kindness, always wearing a happy and pleasant smile. Talalla Beach is about a 12-minute walk away along a relatively quiet street. Compared to other beaches on Sri Lanka’s southern coast, it is less crowded, making it a peaceful spot to relax.

Certain units in the guest house have private entrance and are equipped with desk and outdoor furniture. There is a private bathroom with bidet in some units, along with bathrobes, slippers and free toiletries. At the guest house, some units are soundproof. It was very clean and the beds were private - it felt that you have your own space. I went to different hostels in Hiriketiya, but this one is the best.

At the bed and breakfast, all units are fitted with a private bathroom. Everything was lovely and just as described! The owners are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean. The location is very good, just a few minutes from the beach and some lovely restaurants, and being just outside of Matara itself is perfect as Polhena is beautiful! Highly recommend Blooming Polhena!

Great location, right by the beach! The beach is great for a swim and less than a 5min walk to Turtle point where you can snorkel and see fish and turtles! Great and varied breakfast with a view. The room is beautifully designed and was kept spotlessly clean throughout our stay!
