Packed lunches are available for excursions. The location is the best thing. Being inside the train station I didn’t have problems and it was very convenient. The restaurant is nice as the breakfast and the place is very tranquil and quiet.

Hotel Amaru Colonial has e perfect location - located in the old city, 5 minutes walk to Plaza de Las Armas, but still away from the noise and the crowd. Our room had a nice balcony overlooking Cusco. The breakfast was super good and tasty. WiFi was good. The receptionist had to restart our modem once, as we were not getting signal. You have to let the hot water run a bit before jumping into the shower. There was a heating in the night. Hotel sent us a taxi to the airport to pick us up - 30 soles and then the same when we were leaving. The hotel gardens are gorgeous. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Must visit the vegetarian place 2 min walk from the Hotel called Green Point.

Hosteria de Anita is a lively family-run guest house in the artistic San Blass District, central Cuzco. Features include colourful accommodations and a tour desk with a selection of regional excursions. It is located on a pedestrian street with stairs leading to the property. We had a fantastic stay at Hosteria de Anita. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms and facilities were all lovely. Location is excellent. Highly recommended.

Featuring mountain views, Refugio de Mery Lucmabamba offers accommodation with a garden and a terrace, around 19 km from Machu Picchu Historic Sanctuary. This bed and breakfast is 19 km from Manuel Chavez Ballon Museum. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and Huayna Picchu is 17 km away. Mery was super accommodating. Nice location for Salkantay trek. We left at 8am and made it to Aguas Calientes that evening no problem. Power went out the night we were there and the hosts served us a nice candle lit dinner. Amazing guac! The 2 nice dogs are a bonus
