The property is also located in a quiet residential area, away from the tourist traps. I would absolutely recommend staying at Dar Hkaïem.

The downstairs room was large and there were two lofts. Each with a single bed. Mouna took excellent care of everything for us, and her breakfast was very nice. View from roof deck was off the entire city.

Absolutely beautiful house with the typical architecture of the "dar" style tunesian houses where all the rooms face the courtyard. The pool was built into the courtyard which is perfect. Ideal to relax and enjoy pool and listen to the birds. Very friendly personnel and great breakfast.

Situated within 1.4 km of Bhar Ezzebla Beach and 600 metres of Museum Dar Essid, Dar Aziz VIP features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Sousse. Boasting a terrace, the guest house is close to several noted attractions, around 500 metres from Sousse Archaeological Museum, 700 metres from Sousse Great Grand Mosque and less than 1 km from Ribat. El Kantaoui Golf Course is 10 km from the guest house and Medinat Alzahra Parc is 17 km away. A terrific place to stay in the medina. We had a large room with double bed, twin bed and a little dressing room alcove. Everything felt authentic, tile work, painted coffered ceiling, window latticework. You do need to walk through part of the medina to reach it, it felt quite safe and was well lit at night. There are actually 3 houses that form Dar Baaziz, each a short distance from the others. Our breakfast was served in the 3rd house and was ample, although the coffee was awful. There are steps in the alleyways and it's steep in places so it would be difficult with a lot of luggage since you can't get there by taxi. WARNING the medina is full of stray cats and kittens and it made us sad to see this every time we walked around.

Dar Antonia is a beautiful quiet spot in the middle of the Medina. It was incredibly comfortable and the rooftop pool was great! All of the staff we met were incredibly lovely and always happy to help and even went as far as showing us around the Medina ! The restaurant here is fab too!
