Thoughtful hosts such as Ali are hard to come by in a hospitality landscape dominated by commercial interests. We visited Ali's place on a very cold December evening. While serving us tea, Ali's mother helped my partner with a shawl as she was sitting without her sweater on. To recieve such warmth in a foreign land was beyond our expectation. Besides being a service provider/host, Ali is also a man of depth. He was so kind to engage with us in lengthy and insightful conversations, in spite of his other personal engagements. The property itself is magical, telling tales over a century old. The room is tastefully furnished, is quite spacious and rich in terms of amenities. The directions were adequate and we were recieved by the host itself quite kindly. The breakfast was a rich spread of traditional design and as Ali guaranteed us, we certainly loved it. We travel to faraway lands not only to marvel at landmarks and tick off bucket lists, but also to feel the shared connection in our humanity. Ali's place was perfect in that regard. We will forever cherish the soulful stopover that we had at his home during an eventful and fulfilling journey across the land of fire.

The host, Ms. Illaha was amazing. She made us feel very welcomed. She made sure all our needs were met. She is such a charming and generous lady. The breakfast was very fulfilling. The room was very neat and colourful. Very close to all the main tourist places.

I was very impressed with the family who hosted me. Upon arriving in Sheki, I got lost in town, so my landlord (Afgan) came out to meet me and helped carry my heavy bag into the house. His wife (Naza), as soon as I crossed the door of the house, hosted me with delicious tea. Every day I had such good conversations with them that I didn't want to leave for the city :) Naza is a great cook, so every morning there was a delicious breakfast waiting for guests, and in the afternoon or evening you could also order an extra meal. I drank dozens of teas with them and chatted for hours, both with them and with other travellers who were hosted in their home. Afghan helped me tremendously with money exchange (I had rubles and they did not accept them in banks), went with me to buy local specialities, and gave all kinds of advice and suggestions. Apart from that, the house is clean, well-maintained and the hosts are very welcoming - Naza and Afgan would give you their heart! I just didn't want to leave....

Everything about the place was great. If in Sheki I would recommend everyone to go for this property. The owner was very kind to give us an early checkin. Or else we would have frozen outside.

Arzu is an amazing host - the property is a haven away from the hustle bustle of Baku. I think anyone who goes to Azerbaijan should visit this property just to experience Azerbaijani hospitality. The food, the quiet, the warmth of the village is unlike anything you would have experienced. It’s the authentic experience of being in Azerbaijan. Arzu picked me from the bus station, dropped me back and we chatted the whole time I was there using translation because it was so much fun!

Excellent staff support. One of the support staff was always smiling and so beautiful it was..☺️ Decent location and it was clean. Breakfast was good and overall a satisfying experience.
