I chose Garni Golf becoz of its high rate before I aeeive in Ascona. The moment when the owner showed me the apt I was still surprised by its well arrangement, cleaness and comfy. I asked for a sofa bed and kid cot and they are all well organized when I entered the room (I feel like they read my mind). The owner couple Giuseppe and Rita are very much helpful and patient. They solved our problem of parking, and offered lots of clean towels the next days for our personal use. We got the tallest floor apt and need to climb up the stairs,but what can you complain, when it offers a nice high lane view for you to enjoy the lago maggiore new year firework.

Superb room on the ground floor! - the best value for money that we've experienced in a long time - extremely clean - spacious enough for 2 people - very quiet surroundings - comfortable temperature (floor heating and mobile air-conditioning) - comfortable shower with good water pressure, good thick towels - comfortable bed - fridge, water cooker - washing machine (although no detergent and drying rack) - little presents that make you feel welcome, like water and beer in the fridge, tissues, wet wiping tissues for your glasses, a video for how to access the room, etc. - Leandro is a very attentive host, communication is easy and fast. He even gave us tips for a nearby restaurant. We arrived very late (almost 22.00) and still there was someone who welcomed us personally. - late check out until 11.30h, which was very comfortable for us.

Amazing, super friendly host, extremely clean room as well bathroom, which was shared with guests from 1 other room. Nice breakfast with all you need, cool wine bar with reasonable prices, fridge with cheap drinks. Nice outside seating area, well decorated main area. Definitively best price/value. The host is super. The house was real house, not a cheap made B&B house for rent. I respect the works they put in the house. The view was spectacular. The location is just wonderful in a small town above Locarno. They have parks, and a grocery store where they sell fresh pastry. There are cafes and reasonable restaurants in the area, too. Our kids went crazy using buses and cable cars to go back and forth between the Locarno city centre and the lake. Thank you!
