The apartment was on a smallholding with growing veg, a pond and a friendly family. Rostrenen was a great small town. Recommend the Pizza just up from the Irish Pub, and the great bike shop opposite!

The hosts were there when we arrived and were very welcoming. The cottage had all the facilities we were looking for -- 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, comfortable sitting room. It was quiet and within easy walking distance of the centre of Rostreven. We had dreadful weather during our stay but were able to be snug and comfortable. It was a pity that we were not able to make use of the garden.

The breakfast Françoise prepared for us was exceptional. We were given the choice of sweet or savoury but even when we chose savoury she still gave us a variety of sweet each day, including crêpes, pain perdu, gauffres plus dried and fresh fruit and fromage frais. All served with homemade jams. Delicious! Oh, and not to forget the goûter! Françoise's husband Gerard even got in his car to show us where the lake was at Langonnet. Nothing too much trouble. A great place to stay very friendly staff. Close to the cycle way. Breakfast and dinner were excellent bike storage and charging. So quiet and peaceful. Love staying there.

Really lovely couple, especially Marie. A really warm welcome and a lovely room and property. Peaceful and relaxing even though the property was on the road, no problems. Really nice breakfast. We tried to communicate as best we could, on both sides, and was made to feel comfortable. If we were to go to that area again, we would have no hesitation in stopping there again.

    The host was very nice. The location near the forest was lovely. It was warm. Lovely quiet village with attractive small church (key available). Breakfast was just right. Delicious varied bread and exceptional, jam, marmalade, honey. (Bought a jar) Coffee was good. I liked the composting toilet!
