If you want to spend some time in a luxurious English country house, this is the place. It is approached from a long gravel drive, and then the magnificent house itself becomes visible. Our accommodation (in the Stables) was spacious, comfortable and clean, while the breakfast (extra) was very good.

It is spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed - all the thoughtful little extras (much appreciated when I realised I had forgotten the toothpaste) put this home on par with a 5 star boutique hotel.     Really traditional but nicely updated pub with rooms above. Great location in a quiet village with easy journey into surrounding towns. Room had all facilities including tea, coffee, water and the bathroom well stocked. Immaculately clean.

    We're all vegetarian and were cooked a lovely veggie breakfast each morning with endless teas or coffees. Nothing was too much trouble. From the breakfast area there's a wonderfully scenic panorama of the village green, village sign and thatched cottages. A beautifully quintessentially English village setting. The host's Spaniel dog was much adored by our six year old son.
