Lovely find, comfortable and homely. We has access to a kitchen and dining area-communal. Our room was very comfy-bathroom just across the hall. Tricia was very helpful and friendly. Nice choice of breakfasts. Very dog friendly.

Fantastic place with spacious, clean rooms and outstanding beds and bathroom. All clearly very new. The host Nicky and his family were very accomodating and friendly and served us a very hearty breakfast. We were very happy to share a good dram of whisky with him. Highly recommended. Next time we travel to Orkney, we will undoubtedly stay here again.

What a great place to stay in Orkney. Our room was roomy and the bed was so comfy. Theresa is an excellent host, providing us with information before we arrived and upon arrival as well. We enjoyed our conversations with her and learned much about life in Orkney from her. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful every morning. We loved the peaceful, country location of Ardconnel B & B, just outside of Kirkwall. We were travelling without a car however this was not a problem as town was just a short cab ride away or a most enjoyable walk into town. An added bonus to this lovely B & B was the field of hairy coos next door. Definitely couldn't ask for a better location!
