Chapel Cross is a beautiful guesthouse. Brian greeted us and made us feel very welcomed. Our room was beautiful decorated and the facilities were excellent. Perfect place to explore the local area and also easy to travel into the centre of Edinburgh.

It was very cosy, modern technology for the lights and heating. Compact but enough space for a couple. The spa was the cherry ontop. Extra little gestures for the experience also like hot chocolate for coming in from the spa etc.

Our host, Louise was very helpful and friendly, since we had a problem with our hired car. She offered us even her mobile to contact the car rental company. Each day she gave us a new bag with some snacks and tee and coffee bags. The room was clean, nice bathroom and the beds were comfortable. Everything well maintained. We had the superior double room on the backside, very noise free room. The only shortcoming, the room was a bit small as usual in UK. 14 m2 is not that much 😉. So, if you need more space, book the “Superior double or two bedrooms”. On the backside of the guest house, you can park your car, enough space, just be carefully driving your car through the somewhat tight entryway. So, all in all we were very satisfied.

We couldn’t have imagined a more charming stay. You feel and see the love that Lydie put into the house from the moment you step foot into the door. The room was spacious and cozy, the bed very comfortable. Also, the location of the house is great since it‘s walking distance to the center of town, surrounded by many cafés and shops but hidden away in a residential area. All in all: The perfect place to relax and get a good night’s sleep after a busy day in town.

Very impressed with the place. Very spacious. Warm. Good facilities. All/each rooms had access to bathroom/toilet. Clean and modern facilities. Shower worked well. Mattresses were very comfortable to the point we almost over slept on departure day😅. Cheaper than staying in city but not far out for uber Glad we chose this place

Five of us as a family traveled from Ushuaia, the end of the world, and we could not have found a better place to rest and walk around Edinburgh.     A beautiful room, fabulous coffee shop on the lower level for coffee & eats. Our room was serviced everyday which was lovely! Bus stopped outside the building which was fantastic for getting into the city, public transport easy to use. A beautiful village, pub across the road with beautiful meals which we ate at every night.

    Perfect location to travel into Edinburgh on the bus. Friendly and welcoming staff. The attached tea room offered a delicious breakfast. Peaceful village. Worked really well for our visit to the Fringe Festival.

    Loved how clean and fresh the guesthouse is - and how it had such an atmosphere of olde-worlde charm. The staff were lovely. The cafe and tearoom were gorgeous, named after Dolly the famously cloned sheep! Wow! Situated just 2 minutes walk fro Rosslyn Chapel, it was ethereal and beautiful. The forest area surrounding the village is out of this world - and the original Rosslyn Hotel is just over the road. You readers have just gotta visit!! Marvellous!

    Location in easy reach of Edinburgh centre by regular public buses, a short walk into historic Roslin village and to Easter Bush campus. Pentland hills easily accessible if you have your own transport. A great location with city and country equidistant. Very comfortable beds, super clean and tidy. I don't think i've ever seen a larger television! Lovely touches like freshly made bread and flowers from the garden - so lovely and kind; almost making too much effort!
