Very inovative renovation of an old traditional house with tiny but very enjoyable front yard. Amazing use of space and skilfull incorporation of old stone walls and arches. Decoration on the walls is in fact the museum of the village and the hosting family.

Lubenice is a unique and picturesque village on the island of Cres that impressed me with its wild beauty and atmosphere. The road leading to the village is particularly breathtaking, with dry stone walls on both sides, where the stones are carefully stacked without mortar, adding a special charm to the landscape. The village is located on the island’s peak, offering stunning views of the sea. Below, there are two beaches — Sveti Ivan (locals sometimes refer to it as Saint Luke’s Beach) and Blue Cave — which are about an hour’s walk away. The village has only one restaurant, where you can enjoy traditional local dishes made from lamb. The restaurant opens at 4 PM and was closed on Mondays. The apartments in the village are also very comfortable: everything is clean, well-maintained, and all appliances work perfectly. The hosts are incredibly kind and hospitable, making the stay even more pleasant. Lubenice is an ideal destination for those seeking an authentic Croatian atmosphere and natural beauty.

The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful. The apartment is very well equipped. Wifi works well. If you are a nature enthusiast, you will absolutely love this place. Cute sheep are roaming around the house. You walk a couple of meters and you have a breathtaking view of the sea. Don't forget to watch the sunset! The tourist trails to the island's two best beaches (one if them is the blue cave) start from right in front of the house. Getting to the beach is pretty demanding though, but worth it.

Great stay here in Orlec!! Despite the language barrier, Anica was so welcoming for us and took great care in making our time in the apartment as enjoyable as possible. We fully appreciate and are thankful for the genuine kindness of Anica and her family :) Orlec is also conveniently located in the center of Cres and the main road, allowing you to easily explore other parts of the island and Losinj.

    The house is charming and authentic, reflecting the heritage of the village. We had a restful, comfortable stay in this unique, beautiful house and loved Lubenice village. The local restaurant Hibernica is well worth a visit too for the delicious traditional food. Helpful, attentive hosts who also provided delicious local olive oil!

    Very pretty and comfortable apartment in an amazing old village above beautiful beaches. We were made very welcome and loved Lubinice. We visited both beaches for a sunset picnic and morning visit to the blue cave. Enjoyed the hikes up and down the cliff paths through the pine forest. Then lunch at the bar in the village looking over the hillside scenery. Recommend spending 2 nights at least - we were sad to move on.

    Absolutely the most beautiful house we ever stayed in. An old stone house beautifully renovated with such an attention for details, beauty is everywhere you look. The view from the terrace is spectacular, and the village is so quiet that real vacation is guaranteed. Bed is very comfortable, and the hosts are extremely nice and relaxed. A true gem!

    Very clean, well equipped, hospitable owner kindly left us treats/ wine and brought us more blankets and pillows. Property kept cool, good air conditioning, nice shady patio. Actually nicer than in the pictures. Just outside ancient village and beautiful beach below( long hike to beach) .
