Ibra was very kind and helpful. early check-in, very early free pickup, breakfast, hot water, good WiFi. He also rents a brand new scooter so you can explore by yourself. The place is very clean and well maintained. Ibra also helped me to arrange my further journey and gave some useful advice what and when to visit

It's the first time in all my trips that someone does what Hendrick did to us. Helping us to catch the night bus from Macasar to Rantepao when we were late and tired. Amazing! The brand new building, the breakfast, the place away from the main road. The experiences we had, everything was good. We had a beautiful time with them, It is highly recommended!

Ask Kevin for his motorbike 100k/day cant beat it. That green camo color made me fall for it. So close to the city center. The same views as the pricey hotel next door.

The family was very kind and Yansen was great guide. Yansen showed us all the interesting places around Rantepao and shared his personal knowledge and experiences about the culture which was super interesting. The food in homestay was the best food I have had in Indonesia. The location was peaceful and beautiful.

We really enjoyed our stay at Riana’s Homestay. It was a good value for money, we had everything what we needed, the room was super clean and breakfast delicious. There was an option to organise a tour around the area or to rent a motorbike from the owner. Perfect location in the town centre.

We stayed 4 nigths at Purabarang homestay and we really enjoyed our time there! The house is located beautifully next to rice fields and mountains but is still really close to central rantepao. Paulus and Ernie and their family are incredibly friendly, helpful and speak english very well. Paulus helped us with everything, like renting a scooter and organizing a visit to a traditional funeral ceremony in Toraja. He is a great guide, super accomodating and he for example even was so kind to drop us off at the busstation on our last day. We were really cared for, the food was delicious and we absolutely recommend Purabarang homestay!

Great Experience Overall! The accommodation is very spacious and with a beautiful garden view. Best part is the owner Wila. He's very friendly and has a lot of knowledge from the surrounding area and is keen on giving insight into toraja culture and we spoke with him for a long time. He also has his little cafe in which he sells his own grown coffee and there's the possibility that he also shows you his plantation which is just behind the bungalows. He was very helpful in gathering information for us on when and where the death ceremonies would take place and provided many tips on customs, do's and don'ts so we could arrange everything ourselves with scooters. At one point he also offered us home-cooked food from his mother that lives nearby in one of the traditional houses. PS: For those interested he also offers guided tours where he joins you, he seemed very knowledgeable from the get-go so it's definitely a good option.
