Amazing stay, we feltl like at home. Perfect location with possibility to rent kayak and bycicle. The owners are always doing everything to make us the most confortable as possible. Also, the food cooked by the owner was so tasty, and very very cheap.

I had a wonderful stay with a warm, welcoming family! I was well taken care of throughout my visit. The room was cozy and clean, and the food was absolutely amazing. They provided plenty of information and recommendations on where to go and what to do—from a morning boat tour to kayak and bicycle rentals, plus laundry facilities, everything you need was available. Keep in mind that the homestay is a bit remote, further from the main river, but I found this to be an advantage. It allowed me to rent a kayak and explore the small canals easily. Additionally, the homestay is within walking distance from the train station—if you choose to walk, follow the road near the temple.

We had great time staying at the mundro garden homestay, deepa and her husband are wonderful hosts. They help us with arranging boating and touring of the island. Deepa cooking is very tasty, we also had a cooking lesson and it was a nice experience, we hope will be able to come again .

- Perfect location in a not very busy are of Varkala, close to beautiful cliffs - Access to the beach was very easy from the resort - Resort is front beach and you can hear the sound of the sea - Comfortable bed, spacious and well eqquiped rooms, everything clean - Amazing staff and owner. Absolutely amazing homestay - the property itself is absolutely beautiful, the rooms are so lovely and so comfortable and the location is incredible - it’s like paradise! The owners are lovely and very helpful and organised a sunset canoe trip for us with their lovely father which was a highlight. The breakfast and dinner is amazing. Highly recommend!

A gem of a homestay and a gem of a host. From the moment we came to the property, it felt like a little slice of paradise tucked away right next to the water, abs beautiful home away from home! Location is spot on and the owner Suresh was also nice enough to give us his two bicycles for us to explore the island freely. Plenty of space inside and out, all well maintained. Great, homely area outside on the veranda to chill and have food/tea/coffee, which the family is always more than happy to prepare. Suresh will work hard every day to ensure we had everything we needed, including canoe ride, booking transport and also a ride on his very own motorbike around the island's more tucked away corners. We def recommend this homestay to anyone coming to Munroe Island and we hope to return again.

The host family are incredible. Welcoming, caring, kind souls. The river right in front is beautiful, also for swimming. The rooms and Bungalows are spotlessly clean and cared for. The homemade food is superb, I enjoyed it very much. I was sad to leave and will def go back. Thank you for everything :)
