We arrived to a stunning sight of Tanigawa Mountain, which immediately set a serene tone for our stay. - Room Ambiance: We stayed in the "Tachibana" room, named after flowers. It was quiet, peaceful, and surprisingly spacious. Close to bus and train station ( warning: low train frequency and weather-dependent). Beautiful valley sceneries nearby. A awesome stay experience from the ryokan esp. its outdoor rooftop hotspring and considerate settings everywhere for family guests with babies.

Incredibly lovely staff. They made our entire stay even more remarkable. Micasa is a good place to have a first contact with Ryokans as there are not too many guestrooms and the hosts are soo welcoming. The onsen were usable in a private setting which made this another good place for first contacts with Japanese experiences. All in all this has been a memorable highlight of our visit to Japan and a core memory will remain the farewell by the staff member. She has such a loving and engaged attitude.

Such a lovely and more traditional experience, the food, the people, sleeping on futon, using the kotatsu and the onsen was so nice. Absolutely loved the stay here. I'm not a big seafood person but I still really enjoyed all of the meals, there was always plenty of delicious things to eat even if there were one or two I was being picky about.

Beautiful location. This was my first time staying in a traditional Japanese Ryokan and it was amazing. The dinner and breakfast buffet was wonderful, the onsen was lovely, and my room was so peaceful. I miss it already! Great place to stay to ski Tenjindaira- convienent bus across the street.

Featuring 16 hot spring baths and a variety of treatments and massages, Zazan minakami is a relaxing oasis in the mountains of Gunma. The Japanese-style rooms offer river and valley views.

The staff were super friendly and very helpful. The multiple Onsens were fantastic, in particular the outdoor ones, as well as the dinner. The curtesy shuttle to and from the station was very helpful as we arrived and departed during snow fall.
