Trpejca is the most wonderful village on lake Ochrid and Apartments Marko has probably the best spot in the village. Perched high in the village, the studio apartment itself is wonderfully clean and comfortable. It has a small kitchen area and excellent WiFi and parking right by the garden. The large private balcony is simply heavenly, the uninterrupted view from which over the water and onto the mountains is truly breathtaking. A two minute walk through the charming village gets you to the beach where you can swim, sunbathe or enjoy one of the four or five little waterfront restaurants - each serving very reasonably priced delicious foods (primarily grilled meats, fish and salads). The village also has two reasonably priced small shops. Trpejca is an easy place to just chill and enjoy and also an excellent base from which to explore the other villages along the lake, the literally hundreds of ancient churches, as well as the town of Ochrid itself - about 30 mins drive and the monastery of St Naum - about 20 mins drive. The hosts are so accommodating and friendly and never hesitated to help us in any way they could. They welcomed us so thoroughly, that it was truly difficult to leave. Marko speaks impeccable English and was always available either in person or on WhatsApp. We couldn't recommend this place strongly enough. We will definitely be back.

    Everything. It's one of these places where you feel so welcome as if you are visiting close friends. The host's hospitality is iust great. The house is perfectly clean, maintained, and equipped. We had access to the amazing garden and a private parking spot . The village is really charming with nice restaurants and two very convenient shops. The house itself is located in a very quiet area. It's definitely worth the visit.

    Very good value for money. Simple standard, but well-maintained. Friendly owner, albeit macedonian-speaking only. The two upper floors (3+3 rooms) in the villa are for rental. Shared kitchenette with utensils on each floor. Our room 302 had a private balcony overlooking the lake.

    Great place located minutes from the lake. Great view. Cosy and comfy. The hosts are nice people, I had a coffee and a chat with them, very helpful and pleasant company. Nice yard in front of the villa. I spent only one night here, will be coming on a longer vacation to enjoy more of it.

    The location was excellent. Close to one of the most beautiful spots of the whole of Macedonia (and definetely of Lake Ohrid). Close to many sights and activities and the tiny village itself was charming (although don't expext any beautiful buildings!). The owners did not speak English, but were very friendly. Communication went through their daughter (by phone). There were some cons (see other section), but the price was excellent.

    Lots of cats, dogs, fishes. Beautiful view. Every morning we got 2 sunbeds and an umbrella for some shade. They were out at the beach before we got there. The host was very kind and helpful as well as his family and friends. Quiet and peaceful village. Excellent restaurants, delicious food, good shops for everyday stuff and amazing people! Absolutely recommend! We will be back that's for sure! 😊
