Very pretty cottage with a well-equipped kitchen and a working fireplace, located in a community of similar cottages in a forested area. Ideal for a calm and quiet vacation. We stayed there for five nights over Christmas and the hosts kindly (and unexpectedly) decorated the cottage for the occasion.

The apartment is gorgeous! We were just here for 1 night, but it is big enough to use as a base for a week or more if desired. Our host very kindly brought us some homemade lemonade on arrival, and had put a half-bottle of Prosecco in the fridge for us. She also showed us how to turn on the sauna and jacuzzi, and said we were welcome to pick the ripe berries (loganberries, raspberries and blackcurrants) in our garden - they were delicious. Spotlessly clean, masses of fluffy towels, very comfy bed. And we also really liked having the whole range of recycling bins in the kitchen drawer!

The hosts were very friendly and concerned about the well-being of their guests. We had a beautifully maintained room with a comfortable bed and a modern bathroom with a great shower. We were particularly pleased that we were served a very good vegan breakfast. Would book there again at any time.

    This is a wonderful place for families! It is exactly as in the pictures. It is possible to reach the place by public transportation (a minibus from Meppel station) and our host helped us to rent bikes from a nearby village. Lovely bike routes to Meppel and around the countryside. Good grocery store is within walking distance.
