The Barn was the perfect spot to stay for our last night in Te Wai Pounamu/ South Island. It was in the cool, lush bush, the sound of birds and chooks the only disturbance; no traffic to contend with, no noisy neighbours. The bed was very comfortable, the water hot, the barn warm, with its wood fire, and the two dogs very friendly. Alan, the host made us welcome from the moment we arrived - and he even found a bottle of very tasty wine for us to have with our evening meal - which he also provided. We were very grateful that we didn't need to leave the serenity.

Amazing view over the McAndrew bay. Very quite during the night. Nice bathroom. The fridge on the landing is handy to store a few drinks or food during a sto over. The owner was very nice and welcoming. The house is beautyfull ! We recommand the place

Comfortable beds and spacious living room with big windows and lots of natural light, and it is at the end of a no thru road, so very private. We needed a pet friendly home and appreciated that our dog was welcome. There is a park just around the corner as well.
