Beatriz didn’t just host us—she orchestrated an amazing itinerary for our four-day stay in Banaue and the surrounding area. Her cooking? Absolutely delicious, especially the curry dishes (we may or may not have considered smuggling some home). The room and bathroom were spotless, the beds wonderfully comfortable, but the real highlight? Her laughter—so contagious it could probably cure a bad mood in seconds. We loved the great views, the room is simple but functionnal and clean! Rita’s family is really nice and welcoming and Germaine is always here to help with a smile. The food is also good. It is a really nice value for money.

A very basic place as you would expect in a place like Batad but has all the amenities needed, including food, comfy bed and even a rooftop which is a nice place to read after a morning hike around the rice terraces. The family that runs the guesthouse is super friendly and very responsive to messages. There is no wifi, but you can buy a wifi package very cheaply if you really need it during your visit.

The hotel staff was very enthusiastic in telling us stories about the Philippines and the rice terraces from the past to the present, which raised my resolution about the Philippines and its World Heritage sites, and I had a wonderful few days. Tani is the most awesome person I met in the Philippines. He’s a tour guide by heart and was so helpful! The tour we did was great and Tani took care of everything needed. The rooms are comfy and clean and you can have a cold or hot shower in clean bathrooms!
