Napoleon Wrasse, Eagle Rays and Hawksbill Turtles, The reef system will stay etched in my mind forever. Screened windows. Queen size bed. The back covered porch has a full size washer and clothes line. A real plus for Aitutaki is the strong free wifi. Your delightful host, Kura, will pick you up at the airport and take you to the grocery store if you need it. You can walk to the main small town but renting a scooter or car will let you explore this stunning island. Highly recommended.

The manager Mere, has thought of every little detail to make your stay a wonderful experience. Great communication and attention to detail with a personal warm greeting on arrival. Providing a garden, Tavake Villa features accommodation in Arutanga. Located 2.2 km from Aitutaki Beach, the property provides a private beach area and free private parking. The property has free shuttle service, a family-friendly restaurant with an outdoor dining area. The host was friendly and knowledgeable. The villa was clean and well stocked with kitchen utensils, etc. The air conditioning worked well. View of the lagoon and the surf breaking over the reef was spectacular. Mark, our host, lent us his car (competative price) and also took us out to One Foot Island in his skiff. A much better choice than a larger boat with many tourists. On the premises is a great little restaurant and food store. The staff were friendly and helpful. Service was excellent. The menu was versatile with vegan options. The mango smoothies were great to quench our thirst during the hot summer days on Aitutaki. Overall--a great place to stay if you like to avoid the resort crowd and actually meet the locals.
