This is an entire two bedroom home that you are renting. The kitchen is fully equipped, so if you would like to cook a meal, it is definitely possible. However, the pub, Joe Watty’s is just at the end of the lane if you prefer to go for a pint or a meal. I loved that this facility had a washer/dryer so I was able to get some washing done. Very helpful and thoughtful. I also loved the full kitchen, even though we didn’t get a chance to cook, because I was able to wash and sanitize our water bottles. The host had prepared a binder filled with helpful tips about the property as well as several pages of information of what to do/see on the island.

We received a great welcome by Sean and Michelle who also arranged our transport to the ferry in the morning.

Owners drive a small bus in and out of town a few times a day for the guests.

Pier House is uniquely situated right beside the pier in Kilronan village, for ease of access to and from the island by ferry and is a short bus ride from the island’s airstrip if you arrive by air. Kilronan village plays host to craft shops, restaurants and traditional pubs with live music all within a 5-minute walk from the property. Nice room, perfectly situated to explore the island and have a relaxing evening afterwards. Staff was also very nice. Good breakfast.

Located just a scenic 20-minute walk from the main village of Kilronan, with complimentary pick-up from the pier available, Tigh Fitz blends the comfort of modern amenities with the warmth of local heritage and hospitality. The room was beautiful, great view and tea and coffee left beside the kettle every day. Heaven.

Overlooking its own beach, Ard Einne House Bed & Breakfast provides en suite accommodation with views of the Galway and Clare coastlines. Breakfasts are provided each morning, and Wi-Fi is available in public areas. Clodagh was super friendly and offered so many great suggestions to us. Breakfast area was lovely and the food itself was just what we needed to start the day. She even provided non-dairy butter for me with breakfast.
