Comprising barbecue facilities and a shared lounge, Traditional Newari Homestay is a recently renovated accommodation in Pātan located close to Patan Durbar Square. Our host worked hard to connect with us, and to make our stay a good one. He had to balance caring for each of the people staying there. And, of course, he has his own family he must not ignore. The breakfasts he makes for us are varied, healthy, simple, but tasty. The location was perfect. We lived in a real neighborhood, which meant the dogs barked, there were sometimes odd neighbor noises, construction here and there, but everything eventually quieted down at night. I didn't fit into the house very well. I am tall and getting older, and I think it's an environment that works for the young and slightly more compact person. But, I still loved it just the same. I'd certainly stay there again if in Patan.

He organised some trips/taxi's for us and the food we had at the accommodation was delicious. The location is very central but it's also tucked away from the noise. We slept very well, the bed was excellent. We would stay again.

He showed me the city and the beautiful local places, it was such a nice experience! The rooftop is pretty and the common room was nice to hang out with Shekhar and the other traveler. It was quite at night and during the day because of the location but you are in the middle of the city centre!
