What a delightful house. Our family of 4 arrived in early January welcomed by Lydia, the host. We had experienced German trains at their worst on the day of arrival, and so ended up arriving at the house over 6 hours behind schedule, and so arrived after 10.30pm on a cold and wet night. Lydia quite happily rode her bike to the house and waited for us with some treats and took her time explaining where everything was, and gave us a whole lot of information about everything we might need. She was very communicative, kind and eager to make our stay pleasant. She even went to the effort of getting information that we were trying to find out relating to train tickets. Her English was excellent which was a bonus for us. The house had a beautiful lit up Christmas tree. It was warm and cosy and very spacious. Beautifully furnished, a well equipped kitchen and a lovely bathroom. The tv had streaming services. Beds were very comfortable. The house was spotlessly clean. There’s also a washing machine and dryer and a clothes drying rack. Our family felt very much at home. Lydia has put a lot of love and thought into making this house a delightful and comfortable place. The house is in a great location. It’s in a very quiet street. There’s a large Carrefour supermarket 200metres from the house. Further down (300metres) there’s a great bakery/deli. We were able to walk to the main town very easily. Took around 15 minutes. It’s also very easy getting to the train station. The bus stop is a few metres from the house and it only takes around 10 minutes with the bus to get to the train station. We quite easily took the train to Brussels. We will definitely return and stay longer to explore more of Mechelen and surrounding towns. Thank you for a great stay.

The location of this room is perfect- we wanted to be near to the train station (a 5 min walk) but also near to the town (10 min walk). The owners offered us their own private garage to park in which was fantastic- we parked the car on arrival and didn't need to use it at all until we left to come home. The room was massive, it could easily accommodate the three of us, and having tea/coffee making facilities as well as a fridge was really useful. The owners were in contact before and throughout our stay, which made check-in and out very smooth.

Location-easy 10 minute walk from the station. Veey close to the main shopping street and the Main Square...plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants, supermarkets within a few minutes walk. The apartment (ground floor) was spotless. It contained all the equipment you needed to self cater. A lovely outdoor courtyard with tables and chairs. Very comfortable bed. Very quiet neighbourhood.

I really enjoyed my stay at this property. The location was fantastic, offering easy access to nearby attractions.     Extremely comfortable, very clean, and lovely staff. The apartment was huge, well equipped and very light with a beautiful view of the XIVth century Basilica directly in front of the hotel. A pleasure to wake up to such a view. The location is perfect to explore the city and also close to the train station (directly connected to BRU airport).

    This location is a hidden gem and wonderful place to stay. I would describe the location as one in the heart of Mechelen, you have a short walking distance to beautiful places. Our suite was very clean, very comfortable and cozy. We had a wonderful terrace. Nathalie is a great host, taking care of her guests, providing best recommendations. We would go again and again.
