We went for hiking nearby, so we wanted a hotel that is comfortable but not fancy because we will only sleep there. The hotel was very clean, well maintained, and quiet, meeting all our need. Staffs are very friendly. Restaurant was great. Food are quite nice. They seem to specialize on cordon bleu because one third of the menu is dedicated to different variation of cordon bleu (made my partner very happy).

Really friendly hotel, they allowed me to change my dates at short notice and I had an upgrade to a double room with balcony overlooking the Weishorn and Matterhorn in the distance. Breakfast was great, beds were super comfy, highly recommended, bonus was that it was very close to a ski lift.

I couldn’t have asked for a better stay at Gilbert's place! The apartment was immaculate and beautifully decorated, making it feel like a home away from home. The best place I've ever stayed in the mountains, I arrived late as I got a little lost on my bike. The owner made me spaghetti bolognese after the kitchen had closed, I am really thankful for that after a hard day on the bike. The situation and setting of the place is incredible. Straight away you can walk up the mountains, bike or just relax. I wish I'd stayed there for longer. I actually had the dormitory to myself and he still made me breaking at 7-30 just me in the restaurant. Proper mountain breakfast and then a walk up to almost 3000m!
