This has been one of our best travel experiences. The entire team are exceptional hosts - warm, friendly, attentive. They work so hard to make this a nice stay for everyone, no matter your age or background. La Masia has different types of rooms, and we had one of the smaller standard rooms. It was cozy and peaceful, and the space outside is just fabulous. There are multiple benches and hammocks to hang out, or you just roam the beautiful garden with its trees full of birds, or have a chat with one of the staff (which was possible despite our bad Spanish!) They also have a good kitchen, with a hearty Colombian breakfast in the morning and solid Colombian dishes in the evening. And someone is always there to make you a coffee or tea in the afternoon and tell you to relax. Note that this hotel is located a bit outside of the town of Salento - but that makes it even better. You will not find the same peace in the town after a day of hiking or exploration. It's absolutely worth paying an Uber/ Taxi. There is a kiosk nearby where you can buy snacks and water, or you walk to the main road to grab a bite. It's a safe and village-like community where everyone greets you on the way. Amazing (hidden) place in Salento, it's just around the corner of the vivid main square. It's a very cute little place that has everything you need. The contact with the hosts were amazing and helped us with all the questions we've had. The recommended us a few activities, like one of them was horse riding through the valley at an amazing place that took good care of the horses. The put the place with care and attention to details. Highly recommended for your stay!

The apartment was big and spacious, the beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. Don Beli was so kind and generous, offering us a welcome drink and giving us fruit when we departed for lunch. The location is great, not too far from the main square so it’s a quiet street.

Amazing place! Simple, nice view, good coffee and such a friendly staff (and a beautiful and fluffy cat!) Diego and Gabriela are really nice, always helpful with information. And least but not less important: certainly the most comfortable bed and the best shower I've had in two weeks in Colombia.
