Once Google Maps and I had sorted out some issues that we had, I discovered how centrally located the hotel was. It lacks for nothing, with a lot of attention paid to detail, like the welcome pack of water, almonds, and chocolates. It is very luxurious, and I felt like a queen. I need to make a special mention of the young man (I am sorry, I did not get his name) at reception. Even with the language barrier, we could communicate, and he went out of his way to make my stay comfortable. This included personally serving an early breakfast for me.

Very comfortable room and the hotel is in a fantastic historical location. The bedroom was clean and tidy and there was a small communal area to make coffee etc with a fridge to put your own items

it was great, very thoughtful and helpful of Irene to bake bread, and provide all the things for breakfast. Irene also helped out by providing drinks when we arrived tired after driving, and offered a choice of dinner she would cook and a small charge. The cottage was nice clean and relaxing. The village life was active and locals wanted to get to know us which was nice. Everyone made an effort for us, which was greatly appreciated. I would definitely recommend Irene's cottage.
