We had the absolute pleasure of staying at this incredible castle with our family—and yes, our two dogs came along for the adventure too! From the moment we arrived, we were completely enchanted by the stunning grounds, the historic charm, and the peaceful atmosphere. It truly felt like stepping into a storybook. The castle itself is beautifully maintained, with plenty of cozy, character-filled spaces to relax in. Each room told its own story, and there was more than enough space for the whole family to spread out and enjoy themselves. We were only here a short time due to significant delays with our travel but we were so impressed. Despite not arriving until late Gerard was very patient with us and waited to check us in. The property was in a beautiful location, clean and well equipped. We were sad to have such a short stay and would love to come back when we’re not travelling from one location to the other!

Easy to find. On arrival, the entry keypad had a plate attached telling me to ring the bell, but I couldn't find the bell. Someone passing rang the number and all was well! It was very clean and very technological with a small plastic card for room entry and flashing lights as well as a voice telling if the door was locked or unlocked. Wifi worked a treat. There were qr codes here and there, and a Hi Google box or something - I didn't dare mess with those as I am not very good with modern things! Bed very comfortable, slept like a log, and everything was clean. Breakfast self service and perfectly adequate. Auxonne is a beautiful place, and I would like to return and stay here again for longer. Thank you!

Beautifully laid out, clean and comfortable. Stunning decor. Enormous super king bed and two singles in our family room. Great power shower. Christine was very welcoming and helpful and booked us a restaurant and a taxi . Perfect French breakfast both mornings.

Can’t complain about anything. Apartment is in a great location and is super clean and updated. As with other reviews, the buzz from the front door is loud but if you are aware of this before booking it is not a shock, and we were not disturbed by it when sleeping. The host Leo is also super nice and responsive.
