Really unique room, with a fire place. The owner was extremely accommodating and made sure we had everything we could need or wanted. It was cold, and the fire was warmed up when we got there, were given extra blankets, and even some wine upon arrival!

My husband and I loved our stay at the Abbaye de Villelongue's chambres d'hotes. Although this historical Cisterncian abbey had been in ruins, it continues to be lovingly restored and maintained by the owners who live on-site. We marveled at the abbey's magnificent architecture, unique sculptures, serenity of the garden where fruit trees and some flowers were beginning to blossom and the colorful wisteria was in bloom. The rooms are located in the former monks' dormitory. Our room with its great garden view was uniquely decorated with antique furniture, pottery, gourds and was magical and romantic. The rooms are located in the former monks' dormitory. We were so comfortable there and slept very well. We enjoyed and appreciated the breakfast especially the homemade confiture (jam) and the delicious locally produced "brebis" (sheep) yogurt. We felt so special during our stay at the abbey with access to the grounds and garden whenever we wanted, its tranquility and location in the beautiful countryside. We enjoyed talking with the owners and were fortunate to meet their son and grandchild who were there for a visit. C'etait un sejour merveilleux!

    Fantastic location, right in the heart of the village of books - the room even looked out on to the bookshop. The owner was delightful - welcoming and relaxed. Parking was free anywhere in the village, just a short walk from the accommodation. Loved the spacious room with its wooden floors, the writing desk and the armchairs for cosy reading. Great shower too - and a little fridge which was very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend.

    A lovely large space, beautifully renovated located in the centre. Very comfortable, tastefully decorated and with a fabulous shower. Good lighting and sufficient plugs which is always welcome. Rob is a friendly, welcoming host and also his bookshop at nearby location is only one with plenty of English language books.
