The accommodation is very nice and quiet, making it an ideal place to stay, especially for those sailing in or out of South Uist. The hosts, Peter and Archie, are incredibly helpful and respond to any issues promptly. The rooms are nicely furnished, offering a comfortable atmosphere, and the kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped. Additionally, having a washing machine available is a significant advantage for guests.

Everything! The pod was clean, well appointed and with a lovely welcome basket. Our host was warm and welcoming. Location was wonderful. The dramatic mountains in the distance, a few minutes walk to the stunning beach. Perfect. And a perfect base from where to explore South Uist.

We stayed at this Pod during our Hebridean Way cycling tour, and it couldn't have been better! The pod was incredibly cosy, spotlessly clean, and beautifully furnished. Everything we needed, and more, was thoughtfully provided, from kitchen essentials to the smallest details, all perfectly stored and organized. The bed was extremely comfortable, offering a restful night’s sleep after a long day of cycling. We were greeted with a lovely welcome basket filled with bread, milk, eggs, coffee, tea, and other thoughtful touches—a real treat! Communication with Amanda, the host, was first-class. The location is stunning, and the beach is just a short walk away. Highly recommend this pod for anyone exploring the area!

My 2nd visit there as it is fab home from home with all the things you need. A comfortable bed, clean fresh bedding and a rainfall shower sheer bliss. And a us point its right next to a well stacked Coop! Only minutes from Lochboisdale ferry or an hour approx to Lochmaddy ferry. I love to cook my own choice of food so always take everything with me (inc my airfryer).

The house is so cosy and with amazing views. The rooms are spotless and offer everything you need to drink with a keddle and even chocolate bars. Tasteful breakfast made by the lovely host Rupert. He is so helpfull with all the info you will need. He even wrote a guidebook of the island. I can strong recommend his place and I will be back for sure

Very nice place. Whereas in my experience with most holiday homes you don't get to meet anyone (there are only messages and code to key safe) it must be said that meeting the host in person really adds to the positive experience, thank you Rona for your hospitality, friendliness and help.

It is well situated for visiting the more southern islands. Plenty of room and everything that you need. There is a hotel and shop within walking distance. It was cosy and there is also a log burner. The hosts are lovely and very helpful.

    Excellent location of you are cycling either north or south. Secure bike storage, very clean rooms, outstanding kitchen facilities and great check in comms with the hosts. Co Op just over the road for any essentials. Highly recommend.

    Really great facilities whether travelling alone or in a group, because there are individual rooms or self contained apartments. This is the second time we’ve stayed and tried both. Everything is modern, clean and just well thought out. The kitchens, both in the apartments or common area are well equipped. Most importantly, warm with really comfy beds! The location is ideal as it’s within walking distance from the co-op and the nearby hotel for a meal.

    The accommodation was excellent for independent travellers wanting a clean comfortable inexpensive base for the Outer Hebrides. The rooms were a good size, clean and very comfy. The self catering communal kitchen had everything you could need for do it yourself meals including hearty breakfasts. A few minutes walk to a Co-op and a pub and 2 minutes drive to self serve fuel pumps. It's in a central location for visiting all the Isles and the attractions.

    We loved our stay here- ideal location, rooms are very clean, with everything you need and the kitchen/dining area is a great addition. The kitchen has everything you need- microwave, hob oven and lots of utensils. Would definitely stay again. Communication was also brilliant.

    Staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The kitchen area was great and the bedroom was spotless .It is a great location and has a secure bike shed for those cycling the Hebridean Way .It also has a really friendly atmosphere with Peter knowing everything you want to ask.
