We have stayed here several times and once again, Tess and her team were excellent. The New Years eve meal was very very good with excellent service (as usual). We will be staying again as soon as we are able to.

We value highly people who have enough energy to keep old buildings in good condition and and restore them lightly so that the history can still be seen. View from the bedroom windows was fantastic. Angelina was very frienfly and cooked delicious breakfasts and supper.

Peter and Wendy are excellent hosts. Their house, surrounded by greenery, is warm and very welcoming. Wendy makes delicious treats, and everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail. It’s immediately clear that they enjoy hosting people and making them feel at home. The breakfast is outstanding — I would definitely come back and recommend this place. Well done, Peter and Wendy!

    Lovely cosy place with a really comfortable bed and hot shower. Location ideal for walking to Lydford Gorge and exploring Dartmoor generally. There was parking opposite the front but also a free car park just down the road opposite the pub which was excellent. Super gluten free options and good ales on offer! Really sad we had to leave!

    The location backing onto Dartmoor, huge car park, easy to get to, warm welcome, easy going staff. Adequate rooms, very clean, dated but doesn't matter. Excellent food at excellent prices!
