This is a fabulous place to stay whether you are interested in whiskey or not. If you are planning a trip to Skye come across the water to Raasay. The room we had was absolutely fabulous with a beautiful view. I am interested in and drink whiskey and it was great to have the opportunity to stay in a distillery. I loved the chance to explore Raasay and the walled garden of the nearby Raasay House is amazing. If you are thinking of going - don't hesitate.

We especially liked the amazing views of the bay in front of this cozy guest house, which is very close to the heart of Portree. Breakfast was superb, served in a traditionally decorated dining room. An incredible view! Calm and peace. The cottage is perfectly equipped with good quality items. Our last night in Skye we saw a small yet definite aurora (use 3s camera to see it better), and 8 red deers grassing in the front path!

Everything in this property was well organised and very tasteful! From the selection of bed-mattress-pillows to amenities and equipment ( hairdryer/kettle/tv set). The place was tranquil and very well chosen , right opposite the isle of Raasay , where we had a wonderful view. We enjoyed our stay to the full and we can’t wait to return. Easy access to the cabin, with use of code locks and parking right next to it. December we will be back. 10 is the highest and I could easily put 11 or 20 or 100.

    The view was amazing, we thoroughly enjoyed watching the Raasay ferry coming and going by the front of the cabin. For those that like wildlife spotting, there was an otter swimming back and forward along with a variety of sea birds. The decor was fresh and modern and bed was very comfy. The location was ideal for our day trip to Raasay. The cabin provided everything we could have needed. The place was clean and tidy and it’s clear that Angus has thought about everything.
