Arriving late off the Northlink ferry is sometimes a challenge for getting booked into places and obtaining keys and parking can be an issue. This however was perfect with its own car park and the room keys and a welcome note left for my arrival. The room was prepared ready for my arrival, heating and lights on and curtains closed. The en-suite room was warm and comfortable with all the usual shower gel, shampoo, tea and coffee etc. The breakfast was perfect and the owners/staff very welcoming and friendly. I've definitely found my place for when work takes me to Orkney :-)

Lovely modern but cosy self-catering option for anyone wanting a peaceful, chilled out stay in Orkney. Just a short walk into Stromness, supermarket and bakery even closer, very well-equipped kitchen with everything needed to stay in (including smart TV) should you choose. Engagement/service from the property owner was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Maureen and Colin are so very sweet and welcoming. It was a pleasure to meet and chat with them and the suite behind their house is absolutely wonderful. Felt so private with a nice view of fields beyond the back of the property. The bread they provided was delicious and fresh and Maureen's homemade jams were so good!! Lovely to have some toast and jam outside in the morning. Bed was comfy and while the place may be a wee small its laid out well with everything we needed. Only wish we had more time here. Hopefully we can come back some day!

Great location, a short walk to the main town streets with all the shops, restaurants & bars. Also, if you're trying public transport, the travel/bus/information centre is just by the lake in front of Polrudden. Lorraine & John are lovely and very helpful. Large supermarkets are just a few minutes' walk. Great for your food shop. The main kitchen and dining area has everything you need. Each room has individual containers for your food storage in fridge etc. En-suite room clean, bright and very comfortable. We had a great week and fantastic weather. Really enjoyed our stay.
