We had a wonderful village stay at Shiva Kashi Home Stay and would happily rate it 10/10. The experience was peaceful, authentic, and deeply grounding—exactly what we were looking for. The host was incredibly helpful and was always ready to assist with anything, whether it was offering guidance on places to visit, or simply checking in to make sure we were comfortable. That kind of attentiveness made the stay feel very personal and warm. The home stay itself was clean, cozy, and perfectly situated to give a real taste of village life. The home-cooked food was simple, delicious, and made with genuine care. This hotel is a real gem. It's situated just inside the Fort on a quiet little street. It has 6 rooms and has just been renovated, you can really tell it has been done with love! The welcome is so warm, and the place itself is really lovely. The staff were lovely and so friendly. Ashish proactively checked on our arrangements for arriving to be sure we would have all we needed when we reached. Suresh was so attentive, greeting us whenever we came and went and always checking to see if we were comfortable. Shubham was always checking we had water, and carried our cases and settled us into our room really kindly. This was the cleanest hotel I've stayed in in India, by far (and I've stayed in a lot). The whole place is very tastefully decorated, with good quality furniture, fixtures and fittings. They supplied a little tea and coffee station and provided filtered water in bottles whenever needed. The bathroom has instant hot water and two shower heads (as well as a bucket and mug etc) - so they cater for everyone. Our room had a beautiful balcony with a swing, which was just delightful, and we had beautiful views (made private by the greenery around). This hotel and it's staff are perfect, and I would recommend it to anyone.

The host is very humble and kind. The place is right in the middle of the market 7 mins walk from the ghat and 2 mins from the bus stand. The rooms are clean and the hot water was available even in the middle of the night. The staff helped me park the car in a safe space right behind the property. Their inhouse lemon grass green tea from their farms was refreshing. The bed was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this as one of the most premium stays in the area. This property is the right mix between a bed and breakfast and a hotel. The host and his team go out of their way to make me comfortable. They also recommended very interesting locations and sunset points for sunrise and sunset. The food recommendations was on point.
