We found paradise at Green Island Riverside Homestay. The place is incredibly beautiful. Located directly by the river Kadalundi, we spent three very relaxing days in the peaceful ambience of the very well maintained garden with the view over the river with its bird sanctuary and the mangrove forest. Our hosts Saheer and hues family were very welcoming and caring, they supported us from the very beginning and also provided flavourful food for breakfast and dinner. The boat trip to the birds sanctuary and mangrove forest was also a beautiful experience where we could dive into the nature's wholesome beauty that you usually only get to see in TV documentaries. Located approximately 45 min from Calicut center, this is a perfect place to experience both: the peaceful calm natural surroundings as well as the busy vibes of city. Lovely place to stay in Calicut - super hosts went out of their way to make my short stay as comfortable, as easy and pleasant - and tasty - as possible. Thank you sincerely once more to both. Highly recommended for a peaceful stay - around 20 mins by tuk tuk (150 Rupees) from the noise and bustle of the town centre. I'll certainly be back if possible.

The staff, each and every one of them, from the security guard to the receptionists to the kitchen personnel are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room is clean and tastefully decorated. Breakfast is also freshly made and very delicious. Water pressure in the shower is very good, water is sufficiently hot. This is always a hit or miss in hotel i. Kerala.
