We had an amazing expérience. The Best hôtel we stay in iceland (2 weeks trip). Everything is here to feel relax and peacefull. Dont hesitate, chose this one.

Location was excellent for east Iceland, view from the cottage very nice, communication with host very good and easy self check in. Would definitely recommend this!

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about our stay in the Hengifoss lodge. It's a dream to stay here. Once entered you're greeted by the warm smell of ember caused by the wood that was used to make this house. The colours and the layout of the room is incredibly cosy. The fireplace keeps the house (almost too) warm, and the window + terrace give an exceptional view over the lake and mountains. The hosts are also amazing and gave us the feeling that we're not only welcome, but also that they really understand why we chose to go to Iceland. We asked for help with our fireplace and the host, Isabelle, came to the rescue. She tried to help us to lit a fire but to no avail. We did however have a really good conversation. However when she left, we were content enough. Yet still she knocked on the door and winked us to come over. She told us enthusiastically that the Northern Lights were dancing and fully visible, we had to come outside! The next morning it was kind of raining, a little bit. But the sun was also shining through the clouds. The husband, Steff, called me when I was standing on the terrace. He said: "There is a rainbow there!" and pointed towards slightly behind the house I was standing in front of. I walked to the side and indeed saw a beautiful rainbow. This might not say much to other people wanting to stay there. But to me it feels like these people have such a connection with Iceland, its beauty and understand that we are there for the same connection, they told us to look at beautiful views which Iceland offers, and we were delighted to follow their guidance. Thank you Isabelle and Steff, for the warm welcome. Whenever we're in Iceland and planning to go near Eggs, we will definitely make use of your beautiful little houses.

Very nice and cozy rooms with an amazing view! Very clean and nice kitchen. The staff was very helpful too! Highly recommend!

Very clean and cute two story little house. Our family of five enjoyed our stay. Location was convenient and the area was peaceful and quiet.

Clean, comfortable and spacious apartment . Had everything we needed for a 2 night stay. The host, Andy, was very helpful.

We saw an amazingly big and lasting Aurora borealis. Great place to catch it. It lasted so long we could hop in the jacuzzi and watch it from there. The house and the area is comfortable and cute Overall an amazing experience, all about this house is 10/10

Very large rooms. Easy check-in. Even if there was a pub next door, it didn't bother us. Parking directly in front of the room. The kitchen has a lot of dishes to use. We saw the aurora for the first time just in front of hostel!

Comfortable stay, great beds, kitchen fully equipped and clean, nice shared bathroom amd friendly staff
