Efra Sel was the nicest surprise of our trip when it comes to accommodation, and probably my favourite accommodation we stayed at in Iceland. The room was spacious and clean, and this was the only room where we had a sofa as part of a "living room corner" too. There was a sink and mirror in the room. The bathrooms are nice and there are 2 bathrooms for 6 rooms I think, which is a good ratio. We did not see other people, so it barely felt like a shared hostel bathroom. The kitchen is also well equipped with a large table facing large windows with a nice view outside. The price was also pretty affordable. We were sorry we booked only 1 night, and would definitely come back!

Everything!! Simply and beautifully decorated, comfortable bed, bathroom is big and well set up, kitchenette has exactly what’s needed. Hosts are very organized and directions were clear and concise. Easy to check in and out.

The house is fully equipped! The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is actually so well set up, we were able to cook without any issues. The hot tub was absolutely wonderful. It was one of the best places we've ever rented on Booking.com.

Amazing overall!. Exceptional hospitality by the host was great. The room was clean and tidy with a wash sink in the room, and toilet and shower shared with only one other room. The breakfast was just another level. It shows that the host really cares for the guests with a balanced meal. Overall, one of the best place stayed in Iceland.

    Clean, good- sized room and bathroom with very helpful staff. Great views with multiple areas on the property to hang out/ chill/ eat your own food after a long day of activities. It’s a good location for exploring the golden circle. Would highly recommend staying here.

    Very cosy, allbeit simple, rooms with comfortable beds. Friendly staff, decent beer and a sufficient breakfast. Location is remote, but within reasonable distance of a lot of sights to see. All in all a recommendation !

    Lovely location! Skalholt is rural and gorgeous, in between farm land, beautiful scenery and the golden circle. We got a great deal for a last minute stay at the hotel and enjoyed watching the sunset over the church when we arrived. Our room didn't have a fridge so we were very grateful when the kind hostess lent us a mini one for our room. The room was comfortable, warm and had excellent block out blinds Sunrise the following morning when we left the hotel was a bonus, everything looked beautiful.
