Great place to stay at in a cute little village in the lesser-known and far from touristy Tuscan-Emilian Appenines. The host was always happy to help us and gave us some good tips. Abundant breakfast including cakes made by the host herself. The restaurant just below the hotel offered delicious dishes at honest prices. I definitely recommend Il Gigante.

The room is not large but ok. With small balcony with nice view. Good restaurant, again with very nice view over the mountains. The breakfast is present in the room but is very simple. You can order a breakfast in the restaurant, but this will cost extra money.

We were here on a motorbike and traveling around Tuscany, we spent 2 nights here.It is a very sensitively renovated house, where you will find memories of the good old days, as well as beautifully modern bathrooms. This accommodation is definitely intended for people who are looking for peace, fresh air that they breathe into their lungs in the morning, breathtaking views and the feeling that no one is playing any tourist ballast on you. Francesco is a very nice guy and watch out!! an excellent cook, he would definitely deserve a Michelin star, his beef cheeks on wine were probably the best we've ever eaten. Plus, he makes his own wine.

The place was really amazing. The hosts are really warm and friendly. Provided us with good rustic dinner. They took care of us and we felt really welcome. It was a family run hotel with friendly staff. I can't speak Italian with only limited words, but the staff went out their way to help in any way they could. Location is bang in the middle of Portifino and Pisa and is a beautiful mountain view. The food from the restaurant is amazing!
