We loved everything about our stay, especially the beautiful nature and the lemon trees surrounding the property. Walking along the main path between the lemon trees, you’re treated to a lovely view of the sea on one side and Mount Etna on the other. Etna is just a 45–50 minute drive away, making it a convenient day trip by car. We stayed in a spacious one-bedroom apartment on the ground floor, which was very comfortable and well-equipped for self-catering both breakfast and dinner. We were traveling with our 4-year-old child, and he was thrilled to explore the beautiful grounds and garden.

The apartment is located in a nice part of Sicily and we had an overall pleasant stay, but there were a few important details that future guests should be aware of. Communication with the host was quite difficult, as they did not speak English, which led to some confusion. Entering the apartment was also a challenge – the door was extremely hard to open, and it often took all three of us trying together just to get it unlocked. Although the accommodation wasn’t cheap, one of the bedrooms was locked because it was said to be a "child’s room" – something we weren’t informed about beforehand. Since there were three of us, one person had to sleep on the couch. The bathroom could use some improvement as well – the shower didn’t have a proper showerhead, and the cabin itself was so small it was difficult to move inside. All in all, while the location and basic amenities were fine, a few improvements would make the stay much more comfortable.

It was the perfect place for us - a family of 4 - 2 adults & 2 children. Shalacory is a modern, clean & comfortable apartment. We really enjoyed having breakfast in the terrace every morning - so quiet & peaceful. Gresi (the host) is extremely helpful & always ready to answer any queries. She is lovely & so welcoming!     Great location, walking distance to lovely bars and restaurants and a great view of Etna from the terrace. The apartment was very clean and had great facilities. The host was excellent, Elena made sure we were comfortable for our stay and gave us tips for local restaurants etc. I would highly recommend staying here.

    Margherita and Lucia were lovely and helpful throughout our stay. The apartment was very clean and welcoming. Kid beds in the living room could be a bit more comfortable but the kids didn't really mind :) Location is great if you want to stay in a quiet place, outside of the busy areas of Taormina or Catania. It is 20-25 min by car to either of them, and there are many good restaurants in walking distance at Riposto.

    Salvo and Emilie are absolutely wonderful people that run the B&B with full heart and soul into it. The garden is absolutely beautiful. The breakfast with a view of Etna was one of the most picturesque moments we ve had in Sicily. The location is ideal for travelling around the East Coast of Sicily! If only there were more B&B that have such hosts and such a welcoming tone! Absolutely reccomend!
