The B&B is in a magical location, we have never before felt so remote yet comfortable - it is very rare to sleep next to waterfalls, which made the stay feel very special and romantic. My partner and I were staying for our anniversary, and Gianluca (the host) was exceptionally friendly and attentive to all of our needs. The room has all the facilities one could desire, and the breakfast had excellent options - it was particularly nice to be able to choose what we wanted to eat/drink and dine outside. Whilst I had initially chosen the booking for its outstanding location, I would certainly go back equally for Gianluca's hospitality. We had a slight moment of panic when my partner left some of her belongings by mistake in a bedroom drawer, but Gianluca immediately informed us and arranged for the belongings to be delivered to us, which was an extra level of thoughtfulness and honesty that exceeded expectations. We will certainly be visiting Candalla again, as the whole experience was memorable.

We loved everything about this hotel: the decor was beautiful, the staff were super helpful & friendly, the breakfast was utterly divine, the mattress was just the right combination of soft & firm, and the room was completely soundproof when the windows were closed. The owners were charming, dignified and so kind - Noemi even took us to the train station when we left.

The location is perfect for the beach and for cycling. The house is very clean with comfortable beds. The kids had fun in the small splash pool and the rooftop terrace is fantastic for evening drinks with a great view. The house has all the elements needed for a nice family holiday. Many thanks to the host, Alessia for all her kind help. We would definitely come back next year.

    The house itself is very nice. It is big with enough amenities for many people. The garden is beautiful and the river beside the house is gorgeous. The location is very interesting since it is in a quite un-touristed spot in the Apuan Mountains. It is possible to get around with busses and walking but I would very highly recommend coming with a car. Plenty of things to do close to the house. The host is incredibly nice.

    Out of the 7 places we stayed during our road trip through Tuscany this was our faveroute stay. The rooms are simple yet modern and clean. The owners are nice. De breakfast area was cute, vegan friendly options. Parking was easy if you don’t arrive late at night. The location was special; sleeping in the mountains and between the locals, very quiet at night, a unique Italian experience.

    Fantastic facilities in this gorgeous home from home. Gemma, the owner, lives next door in case of issues and nothing was too much trouble. Chiara was also brilliant and helpful, as was the translator! Outstanding views in a lovely, quiet location. We will definitely come back.

    Excelent accommodation in great location. Owners prepare homemade cakes for breakfast. The absolute top was the homemade dinner with local product selection. The village is in the middle of the mountains. It's a great start point to treks. You can choose between sea or mountains.
