The location is perfect, the rooms are in very good condition and very clean. The staff are so nice, very helpful and the hotel is family run. Dinner and breakfast is also very good. Meals at set times, limited access to lounge/cafe/dining hall at other times. Limited shared bathroom. OK for 1 night, but not an ideal place to stay indoors if you're planning a few nights stay. The food we had for breakfast and dinner was fantastic, and the same can be said for the bento box that was great fuel for our hike up to Mount Tateyama. The location of this lodge is phenomenal and is ideal for enjoying the great outdoors.
