This place offers a rare opportunity to experience traditional Korean bedding. Even as Koreans, most modern lifestyles involve sleeping on beds, making such an experience uncommon. The accommodation thoughtfully provides a complimentary 10cm-thick foldable mattress to ensure extra comfort and support, which made our stay very enjoyable. The host sent all the necessary information to my contact before check-in, and although they were not staying on-site, they were always responsive and quick to resolve any questions or inconveniences. The place was really charming and quiet. A Hanok house renovated into a guest house and an artist studio with a lot of care. Very well equiped as well with everything you need both in the room and the kitchen area.

The Hanok was beautiful and felt very traditional! There was even a bench outside to sit, relax and admire the view, and a kitchen with breakfast, tea, water, etc. The Hanok is within walking distance of the main centre of Jeonju and has lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. The owners are a family and they were all very sweet to speak to (in my limited Korean!) Would highly recommend, especially for their warmth and hospitality.

When we arrived at the guest house (our room was 'Mulbit Byeolchae') it was starting to rain. The manager who was very welcoming and helpful, allowed us to check in earlier than the supposed check-in time. Its location is right next to the Gyeonggijeon Shrine and traditional village of JeonJu and is also very close to the bus stop (119) to JeonJu train station. The guest house is a small traditional Han-Ok. Cosy and charming with potted plants, ceramic ornaments and embroideries. Coffee machine, tea making facilities and small kitchen with fridge and microwave is facilitated in the living room; a nice sized bedroom for two of us and the Futon was comfortable. We enjoyed drinking tea ( and the coffee was really good too) sitting on the 툇마루 (narrow wooden floored veranda) looking at the small and dainty, rained garden. The manager gave us plenty of general information about the area and what was on that day. Its location being in the middle of tourist area, we were anticipating some noises but the surrounding area including the guest house was peaceful. Strongly recommended.
