Matar residence is one of the greatest hotels I stayed at. All the staff are nice people and helpful. MR Michael is an amazing owner who is very professional and supportive. He makes staying here wonderful. This is another home away from home. I do recommend this place for everyone visiting Lebanon.

From the moment I arrived, every single staff member I came into contact with during my stay made me feel extremely welcome and comfortable. The building itself was stunning, and my room was elegant and very clean - also, the wifi connection was strong and stable. The rooftop bar was a really cool space, and the barman even introduced me to Lebanese blue wine, which was delicious. The property owner happened to be on-site during my stay and told me a bit about the hotel's social enterprise and ethos - this alone makes me want to stay here again. I only wish I had more space in my luggage to bring home some of the local products on sale in reception. Thank you for a wonderful stay and I look forward to next time!

Beautiful hotel in the buzzy hub of Beirut. Close to Martyrs square and super well located for some good restaurants, bars and cafes. The hotel gave us a late check out and organised a driver for us for a couple of days which was great!

Everything in the hotel is excellent, especially the hotel staff, all of them are excellent. The location of the hotel is excellent, as it is located on the Raouche Corniche, and there are many beautiful places near it, such as the famous rock on the Corniche, as well as all restaurants, supermarkets, and entertainment places near it.
