It is a one bungalow retreat surrounded by the rice paddies, a river that flows behind it and a small woodland on the side. Peaceful and authentic. You can walk to the village and say hello to the very friendly locals. We even got invited to their home for a glass of milk and a fresh king coconut. They even took us to a nearby Buttala where we had an ice-cream together. Sujeeva, the bungalow's caretaker did a wonderful job in making all the meals for us and taking care of the property. On the last day of our stay we had a medical emergency (my husband was feeling very poorly), and both the owner/manager of the retreat and Sujeeva did their best to help us with the transport to the hospital and onward travel to Ella. We will always remember our stay in this special place.

Thomasha is the best host we had on our trip. So friendly and welcoming. He contacted us beforehand to learn our arrival time so that he can be present at the house when we arrived. He showed us where to go to have lunch, and took us on his tuk tuk to the Ella Walla waterfall, which was a gem !

Very clean place, the owner and family take a lot of pride in this home stay. Go for a swim in the river in the morning. Definitely would come back. They helped us with local transport reasonable prices. Thankyou, great place to stay!

Amazing experience during my stay in Ella. Beautiful view from the balcony, and amazing hosts. You could order meals from them as well. Very good local food. The hosts are very kind and caring. They even helped me with getting a tuk tuk to one of the locations I wanted to visit. Right behind the property, there is a bit of a hike you could do, and you could have an amazing view of the whole area. The hosts accompanied me all the way up there to get some photos. Well kept place with all the required facilities. Two large beds, bunk bed style! Highly recommended.
