It's a wonderful place with a warmly welcome; you feel very welcome but still you can keep your privacy as they know how to handle tourists. The owner is a very intelligent man with a lot of knowledge, and he speaks english very wwll so you can have very good conversations. We totally liked our stay.

The entire place was idyllic. Just off away from the hustle and bustle. The setting is in paddy fields down a dirt track. So, so cool! The manager on sight was extremely helpful and got us a tuktuk and drove with his bike down the track as our car couldn't make it and got us cold fresh juice on arrival. The owner was very helpful via WhatsApp. Overall, we couldn't have been happier with our experience. Thank you to the team.

I had such a great experience there. The owner, Sanjaya really was so helpful. If there is any kind of problem, he will help you anytime. The room was comfortable, and nice in size, with a coffee maker and Air Conditioned as well. The bathroom has hot water. The breakfast is awesome, with many varieties of fruits, eggs, and curries. I can't even remember everything I had served on the table. The cherry on the cake, there is the POOL. Nice size, and the perfect temperature. Definitely, I enjoyed being there! The right place to stay in EMBILIPITIYA

Our stay at Leel's Cottage was nothing short of perfect! The cottage was charming & cozy, offering all the comforts of home in a tranquil setting. The garden's surroundings were peaceful, with stunning views that made every moment special. The hosts were warm and welcoming, ensuring that every detail was taken care of - Especially Leel's mom, will treat you like your own mom! We also loved the food and the thoughtful touches, like the fresh flowers. If you are also interested in Safari, look for no other! Leel, is a truly experienced guide and his eagle eyes will spot all kind of animals, birds & flowers. Overall it was the ideal getaway, and I can't wait to return to for another relaxing stay! This place is a real gem. The accommodation was amazing. It was very clean and comfortable. The host was very welcoming and extremely helpful. The safari tour exceeded all expectations and I highly recommend as a safari guide.... very experienced and knowledgeable. I also enjoyed my meals during my stay here. Breakfast is delicious! Overall, I definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting udawalawa.

Everything! Possibly the best customer service I’ve ever experienced- and I’ve travelled a lot. Everything was clean. Food was amazing - be sure to eat all meals here if you can. An outdoor shower was a real highlight too. The family could not do enough for us. They even came along on the safari tour with us in case the guide didn’t have good English. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

This was one of our favourite places we stayed on our entire trip! The cabins are extremely comfortable and have beautiful views of the river, we loved spending our evenings sat on our balcony watching the birds and monkeys. The host is extremely helpful, make sure you book a safari through him! Food was also fantastic.

A warm and friendly personal service will greet you when you stay at this charming family run place. Spacious, clean and comfortable cottages with outdoor bathrooms, homemade cake and juice on arrival and advice for safari tours are all part of the service. Breakfast and dinner were some of the best food we ate on our trip, lovingly created for us with local ingredients used to create delicious Sri Lankan dishes. We went on a 6 hour private safari option arranged by Mango Tree and loved our experience spotting buffalo, many elephants, crocodiles, deer and a variety of different birds. A simple and tasty lunch was provided and served in the park. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and offered a personalised experience. The next day he swapped the safari jeep for a Tuk Tuk when we went to visit the orphaned elephants at the local transit home. I would suggest a 4 hours safari, more than enough to see animals. This was a very comfortable place to stay, truly homely and an excellent place to visit both the park and the elephant transit home.

    My family had an amazing time at this beautiful hidden gem! The location was just gorgeous with a beautiful lake surrounded by trees. The room and bathroom were very clean and the staff were extremely friendly and helped us with anything we needed. We got the chance to go on a safari in the morning and relax in the pool by the lake towards the evening. Definitely coming back!!

    Stunning location! Properly isolated and very peaceful. The room is big and spacious with a superb view of the lake and mountains. We had an amazing time here and got to relax and unwind with the family. The caretaker also really went out of his way to look after us. We also got the chance to go to Udawalawe national park and see elephants. Overall the trip was perfect especially at that price! I wish we could have stayed for more days but we have made plans to come again for a longer stay. A hidden Jewel!

    We stayed one night to do a Safari in Udawalawe. It was the perfect hotel for that. Walking distance to the Main Bus station.host was very friendly and arranged everything for us. We even got a delicious homemade breakfast to take with us. The service was outstanding! The room was very clean and comfortable. The price was very reasonable - I would definitively recommend this place.
