The owner was very nice to me. He offered me free drining water and arranged it himself. Two times I got lost, I couldn't find my way to the guest house, since it's a bit further inside from the main road. He was very kind to come and pick me with his motorcycle. The room and toilet was newly built and clean. AC was working perfectly fine, although during night I didn't need it. The bed was comfortable and huge. He also provided me with cutleries when I needed. There's public transport available to Pollonaruwa 10 minutes walking distance from the place. Getting a Tuktuk might be a bit challenging.

Despite its peaceful seclusion, it’s just a stone’s throw away from the famous Polonnaruwa ruins, allowing us to explore the rich history of the area and return to a relaxing oasis. The swimming pool was another highlight—crystal-clear, well-maintained, and not too deep, making it perfect for both beginners and those just looking to relax. We spent hours simply floating, soaking in the serene atmosphere, and enjoying the natural beauty surrounding us. Accommodation & Comfort Our room was spotless, with a perfectly functioning air conditioner that kept us cool in the tropical heat. really authentic. the owner organised us a local dinner, it was very authentic. we were the only guests in the total darkness. only one bulb made some light, it was fantastic. and the next day he provided two bicycles to visit polonnaruwa. please check the brake before using the bike. : )

This place was amazing! Beautiful location, very comfy bed and such friendly hosts! I would recommend this place to everyone who wants to go to Polonnarawu. It’s very affordable and the location is right next to the ancient city. You can get a bicycle to get around. The food is amazing, the wife of the host is a truly amazing chef. Every night we would go for a little wild life walk, free of charge! He also helped me to arrange a safari tour, which was very affordable; I was by myself and I paid the entrance fee and I had a my own driver/guide and in total I did not spend more than €75,-!! I would recommend everyone going here!

A wonderful place - spotlessly clean, beautifully landscaped with lovely plants. Spacious, comfortable room - plenty of hot water for showers, good wifi and a wide terrace. Chairs and loungers around the pool and in the garden, which also has hammocks. Lounge area in the dining room looks out into the gardens - all very peaceful. The food was classic Sri Lankan - breakfast was huge and very tasty, the rice and curry was excellent - 12+ delicious small veg dishes with rice and poppadoms to accompany the curry, or there were alternative dishes along with desserts and fresh juices. Staff were really lovely, helpful and good to talk to. Some way out of town, but such a nice place we didn't want to move, and when we needed it was easy to get TukTuk to the archaeological sites, train station etc.

We are a family from the UK who visited Sri Lanka for a holiday. While searching for a good apartment or villa near the temples and relics in the Polonnaruwa area, we came across this little gem. Pearl White was one of only two properties available for our chosen dates. At first, we were a bit hesitant to book, as it was a recently listed property with just two reviews, both from local visitors. However, I decided to reach out to the property, and I was able to connect directly with the owner, Sisira. He was kind enough to explain the facilities in detail and share valuable insights about the place. Our conversation gave us a very good understanding and helped build our confidence in choosing Pearl White over the other options. It turned out to be a fantastic decision! We thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay and we booked the entire villa. The location is excellent, very close to the town centre and major heritage sites. The villa itself is spacious, cozy, and exceptionally clean from the beds and linen to the toilets. Everything was well-maintained. We found every little convenience available, from matchboxes and a lit barbecue to massage bathtubs. I highly recommend this property without any hesitation, and we would definitely love to return. Special thanks to Sisira for taking such good care of us and always being reachable via WhatsApp whenever we needed anything.

I had a wonderful stay at New Haven Polonnaruwa. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and very well-maintained — everything was clean and tidy, which made the stay even more comfortable.
