A wonderful retreat in the jungle a short drive from the airport. Perfect to relax after or before a long flight. The owners are happy to give valuable advice regarding money changing, SIM card, etc. Warm and personal atmosphere. Good service with tuktuk for local sightseeing in the Negombo area and with comfortable car with reliable driver for airport transfer and further travel.

Super clean and tidy guest house with all the little things to make one's stay more enjoyable (incl. a kettle and a mini fridge). Kenath, the host and owner, does everything to make one feel welcome and was as helpful as possible. The food was super delicious. Very quiet environment. Very good value. We stayed in Funwhales Rest House for the last our night in Sri Lanka before the flight back home. The hotel is at very good location - in the very center of Negombo, close to all bars and restaurants and Negombo beach. The place met all our expectations - it looked modern, new comfortable and clean. We chose a Deluxe Double room because it had a terrace - not big but enough balcony with table ant chairs for two people. Our flight was at 7:40 a.m., so we had to leave about 5 a.m. and the host had prepared us a take out breakfast. We were very happy about that as our flight was delayed for 3,5 hours. The owner arranged us a tuk tuk transfer to the airport at compatible price, so we did not have to worry about that. We really enjoyed the stay and recommend the place!

This was our final stay in Sri Lanka and was the perfect relaxation before our flight home. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The room was very cosy, with all small details like toiletries, hairdryer, TV and coffee amenities thought of. The bathroom and bedroom was clean and very comfortable. We also had full use of the villa, including kitchen and pool. The breakfast was delicious and substantial. It was also a short 10 mins walk to the beach.
