Quirky doesn’t even begin to describe this place. A beautiful colonial bungalow, full of bric-à-brac and antiques, done up in Balinese style, at a wonderful secluded location in the middle of the rainforest. Comfortable rooms, a beautiful infinity pool and a lovely restaurant with an excellent chef, and all of this run by Lasith and a bevy of handsome young men. They might look like they were picked at a local modelling agency, but they all do an excellent job catering to your every need. And everything with a smile. 😃 I liked it so much I stayed another day.

One of the best experiences I had in Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan are in general very warm and caring people, but these guys were exceptional. I had some problems with my bike on the way up, they picked me up and helped me to get it fixed. The contact was very easy and reliable over WhatsApp. Yes, the place is away from everything, but that’s what you‘re looking for if you go there and they make the access easy for you. They either send you the location to get there or pick you up and drive you safely with their jeep for the last part. Magic place, the cabin was simple but very clean, the perfect balance between being in nature and having a comfortable bed and good sanitaries. They offer very good breakfast, lunch and dinner and organise different tours to the rain forest (with transport). Thank you again for your help and for making my stay so special, I’d always come again!

We had an amazing stay! The veranda outside the room is so beautiful and you can see lots of monkeys and birds. The room was comfortable and clean with a good shower and fan. The family were so attentive and offered us lots of delicious coffee and food throughout the day. They were also so helpful and even did laundry for us. We also loved our rainforest tour with Vini, it was very good value and we loved seeing the different animals and swimming in the waterfall.

Our stay at Sinharaja Forest Lodge was truly relaxing. The lodge is surrounded by lush tea plantations and beautiful greenery, making it a perfect escape into nature. What a magical place between the rice fields. The room is cozy and comfortable. We booked a tour with the host for a very fair price! We thoroughly enjoyed our jungle tour with him, including a packed lunch. The breakfast and dinner were also always delicious! Definitely recommend staying here! Thank you for our wonderful stay.
