We chose this resort to spend the last two days of our holiday to just relax and enjoy. And we were not disappointed. The place is brand new; they opened just two months ago. There weren’t a lot of guest yet so we basically had the place to ourselves. The restaurant is very good, and the service is excellent. Having half board meant breakfast and dinner were included, but we also chose to have lunch there every day. The pool is very nice and the beach is only a 15 minute walk away. Pigeon Island is right in front of you when you reach the beach. Snorkelling and diving opportunities are easy to find and book. All in all a perfect end to our holiday!

The staff warmly welcomed us. The crushed papaya welcome drink cooled us down from the scorching hot sun when we checked in. The chef prepared Sri Lankan crab as I had desired when I ordered lunch. They also checked with us on our breakfast preferences. The toilets and rooms were spacious and clean. Everything was perfect.

I took non A/C room, which was very spacious and clean. There is a kitchen and common space perfect for working. WiFi is very reliable and fast. The owner is very nice and ready to help. The location is perfect. Opposite the house there is a small shop.

The guest house is located in a calm area slightly sideways from the beach. It is extremely clean and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast was very tasty and plentiful. Mosquito net was sufficient. The hosts are extremely helpful and sincere. We arrived late as we had a small car accident. Late check-in was not a problem and the hosts helped us to arrange a mechanic (even though it was a national holiday). In the morning, I asked for an iron and the host ironed my clothes free of any change, just of genuine kindness. We will not search for other places if we ever come back!

From the moment we arrived at Suman Beach Rooms, we felt like special guests in a family home. Located just a 3‑minute stroll from the serene Nilaveli Beach, this cozy B&B is in a perfect spot for easy beach days and exploring nearby attractions like Pigeon Island National Park and the Kanniya Hot Springs . Our room was spacious – with a private bathroom, balcony overlooking the garden, crisp AC, reliable Wi‑Fi, and great comfort overall . It quickly became our peaceful little haven after a day in the sun. But what truly set this place apart was the warmth of the hosts—Suman, Mallika, and their family. They greeted us even during our early arrival, having our room already prepared . Mallika’s home‑cooked Sri Lankan breakfast on the terrace was a daily treat—delicious, generous, and served with heartfelt kindness . The atmosphere is so relaxed and welcoming—complete with friendly cats, chickens wandering through the garden, and a homely ambience that truly made us feel “at home” . They went above and beyond by helping arrange tuk‑tuks, and transfers, you name it—with helpful, local insider knowledge . In short: Location: 2–3 minute walk to the beach, with easy access to local attractions Accommodation: Clean, comfortable rooms with AC, private bathroom, balcony/garden view Hosts: Exceptionally friendly, considerate, and accommodating Extras: Tasty breakfasts, reliable Wi‑Fi, bike/tuk‑tuk tours, laundry, on‑site parking We wholeheartedly recommend Suman Beach Rooms if you're after a genuine, comfortable, and caring place to stay in Nilaveli. Our stay at Amanta Beach was amazing ! The structure is very comfortable, clean and well located. The manager was super welcoming and flexible on check-in / check-out times. Dinner and food was great. Absolutely nothing to change, we would have loved to stay longer. Recommend to all !
