It was the best accomodation we've had so far! Udara was so friendly and showed us around at the local temple and did the yala safari with us. His mom made us an awesome dinner. And the house is very beautiful and clean. We had a really good time.

Nice and comfortable tents with private outdoor bathroom, providing a very special experience! The fans kept the tent cool at night. Lovely porch area to relax. Breakfast and dinner BBQ were excellent. The hosts were very kind and welcoming.

Great place for a big family or group traveling together. Located close to yala national park so very convenient for going on safari. We booked a safari trip through Tree Tops, and had a great Safari with a very experienced guided. The house is clean and spacious. The staff provided us with delicious food.

This was my favourite stay of my Sri Lanka trip so far! The location is incredible, the area was clean and accommodation was clean and comfortable. Every single staff member on the property was hard working, helpful and showed us the greatest hospitality, from the moment we arrived. Even the communication leading up to our arrival was fantastic. Nishantha is a wealth of knowledge. He had so much information to give us about every animal we saw, including all of the birds. Not only did he host us and accompany us on our safari. We also saw him cleaning and helping to maintain the property for the guests. This is the same for all of the staff. We saw them thoroughly cleaning the accommodation, while also catering to the guests needs. The food was incredible! So fresh and delicious and I especially loved the Kotu and watching the chef cook it. The kitchen staff were wonderful. There was also a dance and fire ceremony before and after dinner which was fabulous. Thank you also to the staff for making sure there were no bugs in our rooms and beds before we went to sleep. If you are considering going to Yala you will not be disappointed by staying here! I highly recommend!

The room was very clean and big, with AC. Near to Yala national park. Very quiet at night, with a nice atmosphere and good options to have dinner by walk. The host, Malinga, was very kind: ready to counsel us and take us to great places. He offers a taxi service, so is a good option to go there from your previous location or go with him to your next destination in your trip.

We loved our time at Yala Safari Lodge, if you are looking for an authentic, natural and personal experience we can’t recommend this place enough. We visited with our 18month old son and stayed 1 night. The hosts were very welcoming and cooked us a lovely dinner of Sri Lankan food, and built us a campfire. The next morning we went on safari with the owner of the accommodation. He has over 25 years experience as a Yala safari guide and his passion, knowledge and want for you to have the best experience stood out to us. Being so close to Yala National park entrance gave us the opportunity to get to the front of the queue for the entrance early in the morning. We spotted 2 leopards - 1 extremely close to the truck. Along with many others animals including elephants, mongoose, deer, Monkeys, various birds. An incredible safari and couldn’t have left happier. You won’t regret staying here, the only thing we would say is if you can’t live without aircon - this isn’t for you. Book a fancy resort if that’s the case. If you are open minded and want an experience which is authentic, then book this place for you. Thank you again to Suneth, Thushara and Wijepala. Everything was excellent, from the facilities to the restaurant. The pool water also seemed to be properly filtered, and none of us—including the children—had any stomach issues. The Ayurvedic spa massage was also excellent. We had a wonderful experience with both the beach walk and the safari tour. We were lucky enough to see elephants, though the leopard didn’t make an appearance. Even so, we truly appreciated how the ranger kept searching deep into the park until the very end. The dishes prepared by the head chef, who kindly came to greet us at our table on the first night, were absolutely delicious! For breakfast, I had GM Sri Lanka every single day. It’s a hotel I would definitely love to visit again. Thank you so much! The clean-up activity in the national park was also a really enjoyable experience.
